Our Lodge is a beautiful, contemporary four-level structure set on a promontory with little visible land below, giving the appearance that the building (an architectural, engineering and construction triumph) is sitting on the water. The uninterrupted 220° views from the lodge are spectacular, looking across to Opua harbour, Waikare, Okiato and further out accross the bay towards Russell, Paihia and Waitangi. Situated in the tranquillity of a scenic bush reserve with no immediate neighbours, house guests are assured total privacy.
Cliff Edge has a huge guest lounge, dining room and state-of-the-art open-plan kitchen. Each of the four tastefully furnished bedrooms has its own bathroom and private balcony, and all the creature comforts one would expect from a 5-star establishment.
For the guests' enjoyment there is an extensive library, a wide selection of videos and CDs for in room viewing/listening, games, a piano, internet access, a complimentary open bar, and an open wood fire for the cooler seasons.
The Okiato room has the BEST views of all, as well as capturing the beautiful sunrises, the 180 degree views from this room are breathtaking.
The Waitangi room, with its Balinese four poster super king size bed and private spa, provides a perfect getaway for that romantic interlude or special occasion.With it's stunning outlook over the Bay, enjoy the views, read a book and watch the boats go by.
With extensive sea views the Waikare room is another room where you can capture the fabulous sunrise, taking in views to the Waikare, Opua Harbour and Okiato Point.
Set in a Native Bush setting with views to beach, Lemons Bay and Opua Harbour, the Kowhai room has a lovely aspect with large balcony.
Included in the room tariff is a full breakfast. Dinner is optional and highly recommended! Your host Peter is an accomplished chef who has won many culinary awards. The emphasis is on seasonal, regional and most importantly on the best and freshest of produce.
