This is a perfect, very private location for resting the soul and re-energising the spirit. Yet only a few minutes walk away is the hub of Queenstown.

A stay at apartment two - Brunswick Lodge offers a uniquely Queenstown and Central Otago experience.

Accommodation

Located on a prime site in central Queenstown a few minutes walk to the buzz of Queenstown's cafes, dining, shopping and nightlife - is Brunswick Lodge, a privately owned complex of only four apartments.

The award-winning architecture of the lodge is created using local schist, plaster, and timber with oversized cedar entry gates leading into a private courtyard and alpine garden.

apartment two at Brunswick Lodge is variously described as a private apartment, a luxury lodge, a town house or a home. Travellers are offered exclusive use of this self catering, serviced accommodation in total comfort and style.

This peaceful sanctuary is where our guests can rest and relax beside an open fire or venture out from this central base to enjoy Queenstown's attractions. The spacious rooms all with double height ceilings and windows give stunning uninterrupted views onto the lake and mountains.

We accommodate single party bookings of often only 2 people but readily expand to cater for a group of friends, family or business associates of up to 7 - 8 people.

Dining Options

Dining in Queenstown offers a myriad of taste sensations with many chefs offering pacific rim cuisine - a distinctive fusion of fresh foods and wines from nations around the Pacific Ocean. Dining options at Brunswick Lodge are varied...

The apartment has a full kitchen and large elegant dining area opening onto a terrace for self catering. We recommend the Mediterranean Food Market for fresh food.

Catered-in dining can be arranged and delivered. Created by a local chef using the freshest seasonal New Zealand produce.

A few minutes walk into town finds over 100 restaurants, cafes and wine bars serving menus with fresh seasonal New Zealand and pacific rim delicacies prepared by the finest chefs.

Pre European Maori came through the Wakatipu in search of pounamu (greenstone) and to hunt the Moa (large pre-historic bird). Gold in the Shotover River was the first draw card for European settlers in 1862.

High country farming of merino sheep, deer and cattle have been significant since the early days, and over 50 years ago skiing at nearby Coronet Peak was first commenced. More recently film location scouts have discovered these unspoilt backdrops as superb locations for the film industry. The huge box-office hit Lord of the Rings owes much to this dramatic scenery, some of the best the world has to offer.

A walk of a few minutes from Brunswick Lodge finds over one hundred restaurants and cafes creating dishes made from the freshest seasonal New Zealand produce. Local wines from the burgeoning vineyards in the area all add up to the superb pacific rim cuisine found in Queenstown.

Nearby are easily accessible ski fields, and for adrenaline junkies there is white water rafting, bungy jumping, parapenting, sky diving and jet boating up shallow river canyons. There is also excellent fly fishing in crystal clear waters, vineyard tours, tramping and 4WDing in our famous wilderness national parks, and a great selection of championship golf courses.
