Welcome to Antria Boutique Lodge - our modern European castle in the heart of Marlborough. A love of people, food, wine and travel led us to build our new home and Boutique Lodge here in New Zealand's world-renowned wine growing region.

For years we have dreamed about creating a unique haven for like-minded people to come and escape the bustle of the city. A place to experience the breathtaking scenery and to sample the top class wines and cuisine that only Marlborough offers.

Now we invite you to come and share our idyllic sanctuary set in the midst of some of these most famous wineries and only a few minutes drive from the centre of Marlborough's principal town, Blenheim.

Antria is a luxury home away from home where informality is definately encouraged. Our close proximity to the stunning Marlborough sounds, to Havelock - the Greenshell mussel capital of the world, to nearby flowing rivers, to the wild pacific coastline and lofty snow capped mountains, all help make Antria Boutique Lodge the perfect location to realise that dream holiday or weekend break.

The Castle

Set in an old apple and plum orchard and now planted with olive trees, Antria Boutique Lodge is built around a sheltered courtyard with one half guest accommodation and the other as the hosts' private living area.

Once you step inside the massive Gothic copper front doors, you will truly experience a taste of "Mediterranean meets Antipodes". An enchanting array of original New Zealand contemporary art adorns the Greek-style lime washed walls. As you walk through the lodge over Italian ceramic tiles, you can admire locally crafted ironwork and timber ceilings. A true cultural explosion.

A wide, covered verandah extends off the guest suites that offers cool shade when eating outside, or simply relaxing with a book.

Accommodation

Antria's two luxury guest suites are tiled to keep you cool during Marlborough's balmy nights, and, with efficient underfloor heating, warm you in the cooler months. Ensuite facilities comprise double walk-in showers complete with Italian fittings and luxury bathrobes.

Each guest suite has its own security system, and separate covered parking. Both suites, like the rest of the house, have been furnished in antiques and decorated with New Zealand art. Stunning use of colour and a complementary mix of furnishings from around the globe (including English window treatments and Egyptian bed linen) complete the stylish picture.

For those unable to escape work and the technological age, office facilities are available, including internet access and fax.

	A stay at Antria Boutique Lodge is pure indulgence - rest, relaxation and pure pampering are only some of the treats you can expect. And when you decide to venture outside Antria's huge Gothic doors, a world of culinary experiences and adventurous activities awaits you. Set amongst some of New Zealand's leading wineries, Antria is ideally located for wine touring. Hunters, Cloudy Bay, Allan Scott, Cairnbrae, Selaks/Nobilos, Stoneleigh and Jackson Estate are all close by. You can choose anything from a bicycle, car or minibus, to the slightly more uniquw horse and carriage or stretch limousine to carry you to and from your destination. Marlborough is also known for being a gourmet paradise, and boasts a host of top class restaurants serving such local produce as shellfish, venison, salmon and award winning cheeses. Blenheim's own cafe strip, with its tempting aromas of freshly ground coffee beans, provides no better place to rest weary feet after a days walking around the township's art galleries, parks, markets and gift shops.
