Ascot Cottage has one gracious bedroom with a queen bed and quality linen. The spacious living areas are tastefully furnished and lead to a private courtyard.

Downstairs:

A well equipped kitchen : Oven and hob, microwave, fridge freezer, pantry with supply of snacks at a nominal price, Guest telephone with free calls within the Greater Wellington region.

The Living Room : TV, CD player/radio, books, magazines and games.

The Dining Room : Dining table (seats four), foldaway bed, extension cord for internet access, ideal as an office or can be converted to a second bedroom.

Bathroom : With shower, heated towel rail, luxurious Egyptian cotton towels.

Laundry Facilities : Sink, washing machine with soap powder provided, clothes drier, iron & ironing board, retractable clothesline in courtyard.

Courtyard : Private & sunny with table and four chairs, retractable shade blind, planter containing fresh herbs for cooking.

Upstairs:

One bedroom with queen size bed, all cotton bed linen, 100% wool duvet, sheepskin underlay electric blanket, digital clock radio.

Large wardrobe with two cotton bathrobes, drawers, suitcase holder, extra blankets and a hairdryer.

Ascot Cottage is a non smoking property.

Wellington City is 10 minutes walk away, or 2 minutes by bus. Here you can experience Wellington’s wonderful waterfront and the Golden Mile shopping area of Lambton Quay. Major city venues include Westpac Stadium, commonly used for sport and concerts, theatres, cinemas, Te Papa Museum, Parliament Buildings , and the Cable Car – unique to Wellington and where you can enjoy a ride to the top of Kelburn and experience the view over Wellington. A short journey away is the Karori Wildlife Sanctuary , an inland island filled with native bird life.

Te Papa Museum is the newest and one of New Zealand’s most exciting museums. Located centrally at the edge of Wellington’s waterfront, it features Mana Whenua – the world of Maori, interactive displays, including an earthquake house, Discovery Centres for children, and the Time Warp zone for exciting rides.
