Experience an Overnight Cruise through the sheltered waters of the Bay of Islands – home to a wide range of marine life such as dolphins, whales, seals and birds.
Enjoy fine local produce, explore the beautiful bays and secluded islands, and learn more about the region’s role in New Zealand’s early history.
Check in daily at 12.30pm, your overnight experience will include;

The History
Your overnight cruise will take you back to roots of New Zealand’s human history. Northland (Te Tai Tokerau) is regarded as the birthplace of New Zealand. Your cruise will follow this historical and cultural path from the arrival of Maori and Europeans to the region, to the signing of the treaty of Waitangi in 1840 between Maori and the British Crown.
Complimentary Activities
Ipipiri offers a relaxed environment, where you can do as much or as little as you like. The following activities are complimentary and are available to all guests:
• Guided kayaking tour - discover the secluded beaches, caves, birds and marine life.
• Snorkeling - with some of the warmest waters in New Zealand, the Bay of Islands is a haven for subtropical fish so take the opportunity to get up close with some underwater locals.
• Island excursions - take a stroll on a secluded beach; a great way to unwind and take in the sights and sounds of the Bay, or take a dip if you fancy.
Local Cuisine
As the sun sets behind the islands of the Bay and we find a sheltered cove in which to moor overnight, join us in Ipipiri’s restaurant for dinner.
Fresh local produce, popular kiwi dishes, New Zealand wines and an uninterrupted sea view – perfect!
Your meal will include a plated entrée and buffet style dinner and dessert.
Ipipiri’s lounge bar is open from 3pm until 11pm, so enjoy the ambience or order a glass of local wine before retiring to your room for the night.
In the morning enjoy a buffet-style cooked and continental breakfast served in the dining room from 7.30am.
Complimentary coffee and tea is available throughout the day and freshly baked muffins are served for afternoon tea shortly after boarding Ipipiri.
Dietary requirements: crew can cater for a majority of dietary requirements, however advance notice must be given at time of booking.
Onboard Accommodation
Your accommodation for the night is in one of our 30 deluxe cabins. All rooms have en-suites and uninterrupted sea views so you can watch the sun rise and set from the privacy of your room.
Your room can be configured as either one king bed or two single beds (please let us know your preference when making your reservation).
