Almyra at Kina is a luxury boutique waterfront apartment accommodation, situated on the idyllic Kina Peninsula, and ideally situated for exploring Abel Tasman and the Nelson Region, with its wealth of attractions.

Almyra at Kina is a self contained B & B apartment within a newly built contemporary property. It is set in extensive secluded grounds on an elevated sheltered site on Kina Peninsula overlooking the Kina Estuary and the Mt Arthur ranges, and looking across to Nelson and the Tasman sea.

Almyra at Kina offers complete relaxation, peace and privacy. It is designed for couples wanting a special place to stay to unwind or to use as a base for exploring this wonderful region.

Self contained B & B Accommodation - Mapua & Tasman Bays

Our self contained B & B luxury boutique apartment has been designed and equipped to a high standard to offer complete privacy, relaxation and comfort for couples looking to get away from it all. It has its own entrance and driveway with parking for both car and boat & trailer, separate from the main house.

If you are two couples travelling together, the second couple can usually be accommodated in a luxury queen bedded ensuite bedroom in the main house.

Bedroom & dressing area
A large sunny bedroom with super king sized bed. Duvet and quality linens - additional pillows if required. Luxurious carpet with under floor heating in winter and a ceiling fan for summer cooling. Separate dressing area with extensive wardrobe hanging space and shelving. Picture windows look out onto the estuary and Mt. Arthur beyond & open out onto an extensive deck containing easy relaxing chairs & coffee table.

Ensuite luxury bathroom
With tiled walk-in shower and graphic glass surround; vanity unit with demist mirror and toilet. A hair dryer and quality toiletries are supplied. Heated towel warmer; tiled floor with under floor heating in winter. Luxurious soft white towels and dressing robes. Beach/swimming towels are also provided.

Living room
A very sunny, warm open plan living room with kitchenette area, fully equipped with sink, ceramic hob, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave and crockery, glassware and cutlery. Marble topped dining table and chairs. Ceiling fan for summer cooling. Underfloor heating in winter.

The spacious living area contains comfortable leather sofas, TV & DVD; CD player. There is a large collection of DVDs available together with magazines, books and games - obtainable from Fiona and Ron in the main house.

From the living room large picture windows open onto a separate deck with outdoor table and chairs and sun umbrella. There is also a BBQ for your exclusive use. This is a wonderful spot to have an evening drink and watch the sun set over Mt. Arthur and the mountain ranges.

Laundry facilities
Facilities are available in the main house for clothes washing & Guests are welcome to use the washing line behind the apartment. There is an iron and ironing board in the apartment.

Internet services
Free broadband connection is provided. There are fax facilities within the main house if required. A telephone can be made available for local calls only.

Outside
Almyra at Kina is in a spectacular location, set in three acres of coastal garden leading down to the water's edge. The decks provide sitting areas to enjoy endless hours of watching awesome views over the mountains and estuary and the ever changing scene. For bird watchers there are waders, kingfishers and herons - to name but a few. Guests are very welcome to wander around the garden, or just to sit awhile at our Estuary Patio by the water's edge; or to explore the pathways around the Peninsula and in season, to use the owner's swimming pool (heated by solar). Beach/swimming towels are supplied. There is also a Petanque court for guests to use.

Almyra At Kina is a minute's walk from the outstanding natural beach at Kina with stunning views out to D Úrville Island and beyond. There are opportunities for fishing, kayaking and boating (boat ramp about 4 minutes drive down the Peninsula) & some spectacular photography opportunities.

Breakfast
Almyra at Kina is designed to allow our guests to have total privacy and peace and with this in mind, we deliver an extensive breakfast basket to the apartment on your arrival.

This is included within the tariff, together with a complimentary bottle of local wine.

Dinner
There are some excellent restaurants & cafes in the locality for you to sample, and many guests also like to self cater and soak up the atmosphere that Almyra at Kina offers. However, we can offer a three course dinner with wine, served either in the main house or brought to the apartment (24 hours minimum notice required ).

Almyra is a luxury retreat for couples looking for peace and relaxation in a stunning location with 360 degree views. We encourage you to spend at least a few nights here to fully experience the wonders of this beautiful region. Almyra at Kina is a non-smoking environment.
