Jes and Eileen Roddy look forward to welcoming you to their guesthouse, a fully restored building on the site of one of the earliest farms in the Esk Valley.

Peace and privacy are a key feature yet we are only 15 minutes from the restaurants of Ahuriri - the old fishing port of Napier.
The location in Esk Valley is an ideal base from which to explore and enjoy the many wonders of Northern Hawkes Bay, including the local vineyards, Art Deco Napier and the wild rivers tranquil lakes and surf beaches which are great for walks and for fishing both surf and fly.

We provide a high quality service and offer you a comfortable, relaxing, refreshing and enjoyable stay.

Accommodation

The rooms are named after the type of grapes that are grown in our vineyard; Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Semillon

We use high quality bed linen and furnishings in all our rooms.

The compliments tray includes fresh fruit, welcome chocolate, herbal teas, fresh milk and filtered water.

Each room has ample storage, guest robe, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities & heat pump air conditioning.

Sauvignon Suite : The Sauvignon Suite consists of 3 rooms, bedroom, lounge and bathroom. There is a king size bed, hand basin in the bedroom and a large cupboard.

The lounge has tea and coffee making facilities, fridge, TV and DVD player. It also features a balcony with beautiful views across the vineyards and valley. Extra beds can be made up in the lounge Sauvignon suite for families.

Riesling Room : The Riesling Room consists of twin king single beds (can be made up to a super king double for longer stays), large ensuite, fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. A TV can be put into the room on request.

Breakfasts

Breakfasts at Esk Valley Lodge are freshly cooked to your requirements and feature local ingredients. Organic or spray free fruit and vegetables are used as much as possible.

Whenever possible we use fruit and vegetables from our gardens and orchard or produce from the local environs. This includes the use of eggs from our own chickens, vegetables from our gardens and avocados, asparagus and sauces and relishes from Esk Valley producers.

	Esk Valley Lodge is situated in 18 acres, 2 acres of beautiful gardens and the remainder in vineyard. At the lodge itself guests can : • Wander the quiet gardens, pick flowers or fruit for the table • Play Petanque or croquet (if available) on the lawns • Use the retro style bikes to explore nearby surroundings. • Read a book or watch a DVD movie from the library. • Relax by the log fire in winter. • Explore the Vineyard and learn about winegrowing.
